I don’t know how often an airplane needs maintenance, but I surely wouldn’t want to fly with a plane if I knew it is not regularly maintained. IMG-20130319-00319

To make sure all is o.k., the captain walks around the plane and checks it out each time before he takes off.

Every couple of thousand miles, my car indicates that it needs an oil-change, maintenance etc… Car maintenance required
We take those things serious because we want to make sure we are not going down, being stranded or have a breakdown.
If this is true for a plane or a car, how much more is it true for our spiritual life? Do you allow the “captain” to check out every area of your life? Do you allow the Holy Spirit to do “maintenance” on your character, personality and spiritual life? Don’t wait for New Years Eve to make a kind of balance and write down your intentions for the new year. Get things right with God, right away and start afresh – in the right direction and allow HIM to set your goals.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)
